Patterns / Paisajes Desolados

This project invites us to imagine how emerging technologies can generate new spatial concepts and, simultaneously, to experience how the logic of dwelling transforms in times of uncertainty.

The dissolution of the architectural landscape as a stable cultural representation becomes possible through an exploration of artificial intelligence as an agent capable of shifting the illusion of the screen toward the materialization of vectorial assemblages. Artist and AI engage in a dialogue to discover autonomous structures that fluctuate between memory and utopia. Within them, light delineates volumes and voids for the viewer, shaping modular forms that evoke a Brutalist promise.

Light acts as a connecting medium between the spectator and the speculation surrounding architectural objects and landscapes. Its glow suggests habitable spaces—born of digital lightness—that contrast with the lines traced upon the planes constituting the works. The materiality of the objects installed in the exhibition represents a mutation from screen-based illusion to the materialization of temporary architectures that echo times of crisis.

The tent and the encampment evoke the nomadic experience and the displacement from one’s place of origin. Upon entering these units—which appear to be made of concrete—a duality is activated: the tent functions as either an ephemeral shelter or a static monument where the desire for a better future awaits.

Taken as a whole, this proposal creates a space for testing what it means to inhabit fragments of possible worlds in the face of an uncertain future—worlds generated through the interaction of the human, the machine, and the imminent.
