The Amazon region, shared by eight countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela) and inhabited by nearly 50 million people, remains under-explored within contemporary curatorial frameworks. This project focuses on the Colombian Amazon—covering 40% of the national territory across six departments: Amazonas, Caquetá, Guainía, Guaviare, Putumayo, and Vaupés. It highlights biodiversity, mambe culture as a vehicle for reflection, ancestral communities, Chiribiquete National Park, and the cultural significance of coca.
