Located in the Manila neighborhood—in the heart of El Poblado, Medellín—the Carlos Orozco Gallery has established itself as a space dedicated to promoting, exhibiting, and raising the profile of contemporary art in the city. Founded in 2015, it began without a fixed exhibition schedule, hosting sporadic shows aimed at showcasing the work of local and national artists and serving as a venue for the dissemination of the visual arts in Medellín. Since then, the gallery has evolved into a platform committed to artistic and research-based development at both local and national levels. In 2022, the gallery embarked on a new phase with a curatorial program focused on fostering dialogue among young, emerging, and established artists. This program not only highlights the talent of the artists it has exhibited—demonstrating a commitment to research and exploring diverse artistic approaches that transcend technical and conceptual boundaries—but also fosters interaction between the artworks and the public, establishing the gallery as a space where the various voices of national art converge.
