THE LABORATORY – Arte Con Sentido

It emerged at a time when criticism directed at the creators, sellers, and consumers of art addressing social concerns was becoming increasingly pronounced. It positions itself as a collective dedicated to the research, production, and distribution of artworks aimed at sparking political, social, and cultural dialogue within the realms of galleries, museums, and private collections. By bridging the gap between artistic production and social action, it ensures that the subjects of the artwork are heard rather than excluded or silenced.

We are, therefore, an anonymous collective focused on curatorship and art criticism. Our mission is to promote, train, advise, sponsor, and champion artistic work—and the artists behind it—who adopt an intelligent stance in their expression and are committed to generating fresh, innovative proposals within the often-stagnant Colombian and global art scenes. We achieve this through participation in solo and group exhibitions, museums, international fairs, galleries, and art biennials since 2013.
